Millie’s Menu: Lexi and Bentley’s Burger Bites

This one I made for Lexi and Bentley, and it comes from The Healthy Dog Cookbook by Jonna Anne and Mary Strauss. It is called: “Lexi & Bentley’s Burger Bites!”

6 ounces ground beef
1/2 cup grated carrots 1 cup instant potato flakes
4 Tablespoons powdered milk

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
2. Puree the meat and carrots in a food processor until smooth.
3. Thoroughly mix all of the ingredients together. 4. Roll into small balls and press into little patties….you should be able to make about 24 little patties from this recipe.
5. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until firm.

These little patties will provide nutrition similar to a meal. For doggies counting calories, you can reduce meal size and feed part of the daily ration as treats. Each patty has about 31 calories. The patties will keep for 2 weeks in the refrigerator. Our’s did not last for 2 weeks because we ATE THEM ALL in a few days! BOLBOLBOL I hope you will enjoy this VERY, VERY easy to prepare recipe….your pal, Millie
