Millie’s Menu – Thanksgiving Leftovers!

Turkey Cacciatore

From the book Three Dog Bakery Cookbook by Dan Dye and Mark Beckloff

2 pounds turkey, cooked and chopped with all bones removed
2 cloves garlic, minced (you can leave this out if you don’t like to give your doggy garlic)
8 ounces organic tomato sauce
3 organic tomatoes, chopped
1 teaspoon orega
½ teaspoon basil
2 Tablespoons organic tomato paste

1. Combine all of the ingredients except the turkey in a covered skillet. Stir and simmer gently for 1 hour.

2. Add the turkey after the hour and simmer for an additional 20 minutes.

3. Cool slightly and serve over a bed of vermicelli, egg noodles, white rice…or even your favorite high quality doggy kibble…and top with a little cheese.

4. Store any leftovers in the refrigerator.
