Sunshine Liver Brownies

This recipe makes a lot of brownies so keep any leftovers in the freezer
because they spoil real easy.

Dog Food Recipe Ingredients:

  • 3 to 3 1/2 lbs of liver, beef or chicken
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 4.25 oz jar fresh minced or crushed garlic
  • 2 cups white flour
  • 1/2 cup corn meal
  • 1 med shaker of grated parmesan cheese

Dog Food Recipe Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cover cookie sheet with foil, coat with cooking
spray, sprinkle lightly with corn meal and set aside. Process liver and garlic
in food processor or blender until it looks like milk chocolate.

Pour into large mixing bowl and blend in the rest of the ingredients. Spread
evenly onto cookie sheet (the mixture will be thick) and sprinkle lightly with
corn meal. Bake until no pink is left. Bake them for about 30 min for one pan
and then turn the oven off but leave the brownies inside until they are cool.
Cut in pieces and be ready to be loved by your dog!

Sounds good- we will have to subsititue the wheat flour, but I am sure rice or oat flour will work. We love liver treats and this is what this is.

  2. OMD, those sound SOOOO delicious!!! Mom read somewhere that garlic is not good for dogs cause it has some of the same bad-for-us stuff dat’s onions have, so she asked our lady vet if it’s safe. Da vet said garlic DOES have some of that stuff in it, but not nearly as much as onion does. She also said that garlic powder or granules does not it and is perfectly therefore perfectly safe 🙂 Momma gonna try your yummy recipe and just make that one adjustment, using garlic granules instead of fresh garlic. I hope she makes them soon!!!!
